Teresa’s role at The Summit School is integral to our mission of providing a caring and supportive environment for our students. Her nutrition counseling service is an essential component of our comprehensive approach to student wellness, which also includes academic services, parent communication, recreation programming, psychiatric supervision, intensive individual psychotherapy, vocational counseling, and college planning and transition planning.
At The Summit School, we believe that nutrition plays a critical role in overall health and well-being, and Teresa is committed to providing students with the evidence-based information and support they need to make informed decisions about their diet. She also works closely with the school’s food service director, Chris Unold, to develop nutritious menus that reflect our commitment to student wellness.
Teresa is dedicated to overcoming any challenges that may come up when working with students, for example some students may feel that seeing a dietitian means they cannot eat their favorite foods, but Teresa is committed to helping students fit their favorite foods into a healthy meal plan.
Teresa’s passion for helping students improve their health and well-being make her a valuable asset to The Summit School team, and we are proud to have her on board. She is a shining example of our commitment to providing the best possible care and support for our students.
