Pets for Purpose

FEATURED ARTICLE

We are thrilled about the recent feature in the Times Union about our ‘Pets with Purpose’ animal care program! Our students love hitting the trails with our Nigerian dwarf goats Sawyer and Scout and other animal companions. The program, which includes dogs, pigs, ducks, chickens, and even a bearded dragon and turtle, not only provides a fun and unique way for our students to get active and enjoy nature, but also helps meet the diverse needs of our student body.

This program is an important part of our curriculum and brings so much joy to our students and staff. We were excited to see one of our graduates, Gabby Panozzo, share the impact our animal care program had on her,

“The animals were a huge part of my time at school, and if I was having a hard time, those hikes would be the best part of my day. It was something I always looked forward to and still miss.”

We are proud to be part of such a meaningful program that positively impacts our students’ lives, and we are happy to share it with the world.
